Celebrate nature with the whole family at Cawthra Mulock Nature Reserve! Join Ontario Nature staff in celebrating pollinators with a Bee-BBQ picnic, nature hike, crafts, games, and more!

Explore nature with new eyes on a kid-friendly guided trail hike. You might catch a glimpse of a bobolink, painted turtle, or red fox!

Talk to experts about welcoming wildlife to your own backyard and great ways to support nature in the community. Kids of all ages can decorate butterfly wings, join bee relays, and learn about the amazing world of pollinators.

Menu includes basic BBQ fare, with fresh salads, fruits and other bee-pollinated delicacies of the season.

Directions: The reserve is located near Newmarket, ON. The BBQ event will be held at the east entrance, on Bathurst Street. To access the east entrance, travel north on Bathurst Street from Green Lane/Millers Side Road.  The nature reserve is the second driveway on the left (west) side at 18462 Bathurst Street and is marked by a green and white Ontario Nature sign. Continue down the driveway past the white house (please respect the privacy of the tenants). You may park at the end of the driveway in order to access the trails. More Information: Please wear long pants and closed toed shoes. Bring a hat, sunscreen, and re-fillable waterbottle. Food and refreshments will be provided.
